HMD global seems to be in quite the rush, which is why they are launching one phone after another ever since they made a comeback by launching their first phone, this July. Recently the company handed out invitations to tech gurus and influencers where they are expected to reveal their next prized possession, the Nokia 7. There is also a rumor that the company may also launch a phone called Nokia 2. The Nokia 7 will definitely be the next addition to the current line of mobile phones put up by the brand. it is believed that this device will have the flagship like features, at about half the price of Nokia, 8 which is their flagship phone. The Nokia 8 is definitely not up there in price compared to other flagship phones, to begin with, so the Nokia 7 being a mid-range phone is one to keep an eye out for. Among the highlights of the handset is the 7000 series aluminum body and Corning Gorilla Glass on the back panel. In fact, the Nokia 7 rear panel uses 3D glass thermoforming technology for casting and features with rounded corners.
The device also packs a f/1.8 aperture lens and comes with ‘bothie’ camera mode, which was first seen in the flagship device from the brand. The “Bothie” feature has been heavily marketed by the brand and is quite an interesting feature where you can use both the front as well as the back camera at the same time, to click pictures simultaneously. Apart from that, the handset will also support live video streaming to both YouTube and Facebook, which can be handy for social media influencers.
Nokia 7 Price, Specification & Feature
There will most probably be 2 versions of the device, with 4GB and 6GB RAMS, which will be priced roughly around Rs 25,000 and Rs 26,500 approximately. Talking about the software, the Nokia 7 runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with timely software update promise from the company. The company has confirmed, that the device is all set for the upcoming Oreo update as well. It features 5.2-inch IPS 2.5D display with screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone features the new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s 64GB storage and comes with expandable storage up to 128GB (via microSD card).
Since one of the most important features in a phone these days is the camera, let us know, what this device has in store for us. The Nokia 7 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture lens and dual-tone flash. At the front, there’s 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Nokia 7 was recently introduced in China and received good reviews since its launch. The phone seems to be a good looking device, with good enough features for the price it is being offered at. With the Nokia nostalgia, still playing on the Indian consumers, we reckon this device will have many takers, especially because there are not many good phones with quality processors in this particular price bracket. Coming to the connectivity features, it comes with a USB Type-C port and also supports NFC connectivity options, apart from that, it has the other regular connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G, Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
As mentioned above, there are talks of Nokia 2 also making its entry in the ever-expanding world of smartphones in India. It is being anticipated that the Nokia 2 will be one of the cheapest smartphones in Nokia’s line up. The company has kept everything hush-hush about this device, and not much has been revealed about it yet. Since the Indian market, is such a good ground for inexpensive smartphones, Nokia, is most probably, going to launch it in India, first. However, we have some insider news about the device and we believe that some of the following features will definitely make it to the actual device.
The phone is rumored to come with a 4.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. Surprisingly Nokia will be powering the device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210, clubbed with 1GB of RAM, which clearly makes this an entry-level phone. Since everyone, wants a good camera, Nokia has not compromised much on that front, the device will supposedly pack an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Some the pros of this phone will be the 4000 mAh none removable battery, ensuring that your phone never runs out of juice and Nokia 2 is likely to give you a stock Android experience as it may run on Android 7.1. There won’t be surprises, if the device will have 2 SIM card slots, both GSM of course, and other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, and 4G. Sensors on the phone are rumored to include Accelerometer.
With 2 very exciting phones in the pipeline, we are thrilled whether Nokia will launch just one of these devices or both of them. Considering the features and the pricing on it, both devices have their USPs and it is the actual pricing which will make or break the deal for Nokia. Which of these 2 phones are you excited about the most?
